Active License: $800
Inactive License: $450
(The renewal fees listed above include a required $200 fee to support the Texas Financial Education Endowment per license.

Inactivating a license while still conducting activities that require holding a Texas Finance Code §393 license may result in penalties for unlicensed activity.)

Your total amount due can be found by logging in to your ALECS account.

When you are ready to pay the fees, please follow the steps below:
Log in to ALECS
Click on Manage My Business (left-hand column)
Click on “Renew License” under the License heading

Select Credit Access Business from the drop-down menu at the top

If your license(s) do not appear after following the steps above, click on "Dashboard" and then on the "My Business Transactions" tab. If you see any references to an INITIATED APPLICATION, delete them by clicking on the APP ID# and then selecting delete.

Once deleted, return to step 2.
Click the box(es) of the license(s) you need to renew
Check the “By checking this box, I confirm that I would like to renew the selected licenses” box
Click License Renewal and complete the payment information
Please note: Each license (master file) can only be associated with one ALECS account. If your company’s license(s) is already linked to an account, a new account cannot be created for the same license. You must use the existing account to complete your renewal.
For a visual step-by-step guide of the renewal process, visit page 23 of the Manage My Business Guide found here.
CAB licenses can only be renewed during the statutory assigned renewal period. Licenses not renewed by December 31, 2025, will expire. Expired CAB licenses are not eligible for reinstatement. If a required license has expired, you must submit a new CAB application and complete the full application process.
• If you are unable to complete the renewal after following the steps above, please send us a screenshot of the error message to licensing@occc.texas.gov.
