out money to anyone who was devoted to rebuilding San Francisco.
The other San Francisco banks? Closed for 3 weeks. Their owners
wern't willing to do the hard things!
Amadeo's bank, The Bank of Italy, remained open because it's
owner was willing to walk 17 miles back and forth, hide the gold,
and take chances on everyone willing to rebuild.
The Bank of Italy soon became The Bank of America. Not long later,
Amadeo took a chance on a man with big dreams for a full length
animated film named "Snow White." This man was Walt Disney!
You want to win at anything? You have to be 1000% better than your
competition; not just 20% better. No one remembers 20%.
Amadeo Gianinni was 1000% better than everyone else in the aftermath
of an earthquake.
