FDIC, Department of Justice, NY's Lawsky Attack Facilitators for PDL Transactions
Published: Mon, 08/12/13
NY Superintendent Lawsky, The DOJ, The FDIC... are attacking the PDL
facilitators and conduits. Their strategy is to make it difficult and
overly burdensome for ANY online lender
to utilize the ACH (Automated Clearing House) for debiting and
crediting borrower bank accounts. Tribe... offshore...
choice-of-law... doesn't matter. Additionally, they're pitting the brick-n-mortar lenders against the online lenders; a theme that is not new
to any of us who have been in the PDL space for more than a few years.
Finally, consider who and why FISCA, CFSA and OLA were organized and
funded by, and what the agendas of their members are. "Still waters run deep."
Much more to this than meets the eye...
