If you care about the Texas small dollar loan industry, read on. If
not, DELETE this email now!

There are two resources I recommend for Texas operators.

Michael Brown at http://www.CreditAccessBusiness.com and Clay
Chancey at http://www.tofsc.org

Talk to both of them. Explore your needs and challenges with them.
Then, pick one :o)

Michael's Team is building a series of services including a
"borrow smart" model, consulting and audit support for
CAB's. Michael says examination preparedness is the top
priority. Contracts and procedures need to be reviewed ASAP,
examiners are making the rounds, fines are being assessed, refunds
are having to be made, operators are being told to stop operating
until corrections are made, etc, etc. Occc is coming up with new
issues as they go. Being informed on what's happening is
crucial

Clay is running The Texas Organization of Financial Service
Centers, a Texas trade association representing licensed Credit
Access Business (CAB), Credit Service Organizations (CSO), payday
lenders, title lenders, and check cashers. They are having their
annual conference in Dallas September 25. Visit their website for
additional information on the association as well as the upcoming
conference http://www.tofsc.org.

There are sessions applicable to more than just Texas businesses.
The conference theme is "Showing You The Money" to assist
business owners in grabbing new income sources from their current
infrastructure.
